If the unit has this defect then it can produce some very strange behaviour from firewire issues to no sync and funny scribble strip led readouts. There was a power loom defect on early units that up until recently Avid would replace for free.

If you want to capture audio only or audio punch-in then you must have a B/Burst generator connected to the DNA ref in too. What this means is that you can control play/forward and certain function keys as well as rubber banding marker recording on the fly. The Digi002 apart from audio I/O will only work as a controller when in MC not a mixer and only if those controller settings are invoked in the MC settings.

For full functionality I have found that the Digidriver supplied with ProTools 8.0.3 works best. I have it working with both analogue Mojo and Adenaline very well with MC5 and with analogue Mojo only with Protools LE 8 but there has been some problem with the Digidrivers compatability. The Digi002 does not work with DX or any 3rd party hardware at all for MC. If these bus considerations are not followed you will get v-sync errors at least up to complete non-function of both hardwares. Slot configurations for various cpus are available in the Knowledge base. With modern cpus any 2 separate PCIe cards will do but they must be the approved 4k buffer ones. In the case of older approved HP cpus this usually meant DNA on the internal firewire port and the Digi002 on a seperate approved card in a PCI-X slot. In the case of Adrenaline all active I/Os such as SDI and AES/EBU remain live as well as the 002.īoth the DNA hardware and the Digi002 must be on seperate Firewire busses, not ports but actual bus.

If it is operating correctly then you will see a green lit 002 above your timeline. You have to have an rca cable going between the spdif or CLK (mojo) out of the DNA hardware and the spdif in of the Digi002. What hardware are you trying to co-install with? The Digi002 will only work with Avid's DNA products: Adrenaline, Mojo SDI and analogue Mojo (and only the ones with a CLK port).
